Meta Tags - Yaman Kalyan and indian Film music, old songs If you ask me which is the universal Raaga of Hindi Film Music then the honor would go to raag Yaman. Many people may argue that it is Pahadi, but Pahadi doesn't have any strong characteristics like Yaman, and Pahadi is often considered as Ragini than raag. Yaman's USP is it can convey any emotion. Mostly the Teevra Madhyam which is one of the distinctive factor of Yaman acts as a catalyst; whatever emotions being conveyed.
